ENERGY STAR certified products provide optimal comfort. In winter, they reduce condensation on windows. They filter UV rays to protect your belongings from sun damage, and they dampen outside noise.

ENERGY STAR certified windows offer many advantages in the area of energy efficiency and durability. To be certified ENERGY STAR, windows must have most of the following features:**

  • Double or triple glazing with insulating glass unit
  • Low-emissivity (low-E) glass
  • Inert gas, such as argon or krypton, in the insulating glass unit
  • Low-conductivity or “warm edge” spacer bars
  • Insulated frames and sashes
  • Good imperviousness
